Get Paid To Talk To Your Friends About Voting

Make your voice heard during the 2024 election cycle.

In only a few short months, the news cycle will be dominated by coverage of the 2024 election. And while every election year is important, the 2024 election is unprecedented for a multitude of different reasons. Aside from the fact that AI is now factoring into the mix, the amount of pure disinformation being spread is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. This begs the question: how on earth can you be an informed voter?

Enter organizations like Relentless.

Since 2022, Relentless has aimed to put the political power back in the hands of the voters with grassroots campaigns to help constituents be informed voters at the polls. And right now, they’re looking for help.

Why It Matters

The 2024 election has the potential to be one of the most politically charged elections in our nation’s history. In 2022, political text messages increased by 158%. A whopping 15 billion political texts were sent to Americans in that year alone. What’s more, 70% of American voters say they’re worried about misinformation during the election.

Relentless’ goal is to communicate with voters in a way that assuages their fears and provides them with accurate information. Known as relational mobilization, volunteers are giving back to the voting community. The goal? Help them make informed decisions every time they step up to the polls.

Getting information from trusted friends and family is the best way to inform voters in your network and get them to the polls.

What You’ll Do For Relentless

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in helping out with, then Relentless wants to hear from you. For the 2024 election, Relentless is launching a $10.8 million program that will pay participants in the program to speak to friends and family about voting.

Relentless hopes to reach more disenfranchised communities of voters with this new incentive. Thanks to the pure amount of disinformation already being spread about the upcoming election, there’s never been a better time to start getting politically educated.

With the app Rally, you’ll log your interactions with friends and family to keep track. The app also lets you post memes, text your contacts, and even throw in-person events.

What You’ll Get

For your efforts to inform and educate your friends, family, and community, Relentless is paying participants a $200 stipend.

“Relational [organizing] is a way for voters to receive correct, accurate information in this time of unprecedented disinformation because people trust their friends,” said Davis Leonard, chief executive officer at Relentless. “And so the best way to get people accurate information that they are going to trust is from a trusted messenger. And that’s somebody that they already know.”
